Launched in 2006 as a European project, later expanded globally. It is supported by various EU-funded projects (eTEN, ICT-PSP, ETNA, etc.). EASTIN partners include government agencies, research institutions, and non-profits. Engaged in WHO’s Global Collaboration on Assistive Technology (GATE).

Evidence and indicators

EASTIN is referenced in international AT policy discussions and research. It is part of GAATO and contributes to WHO’s GATE project for global AT accessibility.
